Pups Layout - Pretty Little Studio

Pretty Little Studio challenged me to use this picture as inspiration. I just loved the way there were so many small pictures in one large image, so I decided to create my own similar collage. I fit 6 photos on one layout with no problem at all! Have I mentioned how much I am loving the fact that Pretty Little Studio is now doing 12x12 paper? Just check out that woodgrain!
I printed up the journaling on a tag, and decided to stick it under a little pennant banner shape I had created. Imagine how pleased I was when I realized it gave off the appearence of a tag in an envelope. I think this is a technique I will be using more often.
I cut that adorable little Amy Tangerine pyppy, and the layered banners out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Products Used: Pretty Little Studio Nature Walk collection, Pretty Little Studio Antique Store collection, Pretty Little Studio tag, EK Success Glitter Alphabet Stickers, American Crafts Dear Lizzy embellishments, Elle's Studio journaling card, Silhouette Cameo

Beach Babe 8.5x11 Layout

 photo 1873af26-a52a-4adf-8c7f-c2467e87d5b4_zps01fdca3d.jpg
As an "out of the box" challenge over at Pretty Little Studios - we had to pull inspiration from this lovely deco piece. I chose to pull the fun little golden triangles and add them to the page. I wanted the triangles to direct the eyes towards the title and the adorable speech bubbles. This layout was also inspired by Teka Cochonneau's work. I used a few phrase stickers by Pretty Little Studio to fill in the speech bubbles with beach related words. I printed the journaling out on some vellum.

SUPPLIES USED: Pretty Little Studio's Sand Castle collection, Pretty Little Studio's Birthday Cake Speech Bubbles, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, American Craft Thickers.

Halloween, Halloween - Card

While I am enjoying this lovely warm weather, I’ve still been in the mood to work with Fall colors. Although the Monsieur collection from Pretty Little Studio is more of a masculine type of collection – the patterns and colors work perfectly for any fall project! I was completely inspired by the collection and decided to make this lovely Halloween Card.

My Little Beauty LAYOUT (PLS SKETCH)

 photo mylittlebeauty1_zpsadd95a56.jpg
There is a brand new sketch challenge over at Pretty Little Studio. Go check it out! You could win a $10 gift certificate to the store. I used the sketch to make this layout. I just loved the postage stamp effect in the sketch – so I got my Silhouette Cameo out and started cutting. I stacked several layers on top of each other. As soon as I saw the sketch – I knew I wanted my title and journaling to go in the center of those fun postage stamps.

 photo mylittlebeauty2_zpsa26db831.jpg
To create more depth to the page – I adhered many layers with pop dots. Do you remember those fun embellishments I made during my last tutorial? I was so pleased to see that one of them went so well with this layout. It made the perfect accent!

DIY Layered Embellishments

I love the look of layered embellishments. They give so much dimension and interest to your project (whether it be a card, layout, project life, etc.) The premade ones, however, can get a little pricey. So why not make your own with all the supplies in your stash? They're fun to put together and always comes out so beautiful! Don't know where to start? I have a TUTORIAL on how to make these cute little embellisments over at the Pretty Little Studio blog!

"Oh Snap!" Wall Hanging - PLS

Working with bright colors of the Birthday Cake collection and some funky Zebra print ribbon, I was able to make this fun little wall decor. I cut the camera, the title, and the film strip out with my Silhouette Cameo. I knew before I started this project that I wanted a picture to be on it somewhere. The middle of the camera worked perfectly!

I stitched a few Pretty Little Studio paper strips together and tucked some pennant banners underneath. I think it came out pretty cute and it was fun putting it together!

Supplies: Pretty Little Studio's Birthday Cake collection, Silhouette Cameo

Happy weekend, everyone!

"The Best Dad" Layout (with Pretty Little Studio)

I’ve got a fun little 8.5×11 layout to share with you all today. I decided to use a few of the fun pictures I got from the photoshoot last week. With this layout I decided to make a two column banner going across the page.
My favorite thing about Pretty Little Studio is that they have the most wonderful selection of journaling cards, tags, embellishment cards, etc. These can be the perfect accent on just about any project. Each tag/journaling card left plenty of space to work with. After I added my title, my photos, and my journaling – I went ahead and started to add as many embellishments as I could get in there! Fun, huh?
Isn’t that little man with the mustache adorable? He is from the wonderful Monsieur collection. Check it out!

I also wanted to take this time to talk about a few exciting things that are going on with Pretty Little Studio. If you followed along with our fun little blog hop a few days ago, then you know that Pretty Little Studio is releasing a new, ADORABLE line called "Nature Walk". Take the time to flip through the virtual catalog above. You're sure to fall in love! Pretty Little Studio will also be selling 12x12 papers soon! You can look into pre-ordering the Birthday Cake collection and the Nature Walk collection by visiting the shop!

Happy weekend, everyone!

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Challenge

There is a fun sketch challenge up at the Pretty Little Studio blog. We would love to see your projects! There are no rules. You can submit any project with any kind of product.
One person will be randomly be chosen to win a $10 coupon to the store. Challenge ends on March 18th.
Sketches are wonderful because you can either follow along with the exact sketch or you can move elements around as needed. They are great for when you’re in a bind with your creativity! I took the elements from the sketch and changed or moved them around just a little
Instead of using three photos, I used one large photo. I loved the idea of using a few pieces of paper to make a grid, as shown in the sketch – so I chose some of my favorite papers from the Sand Castle collection. Instead of having the banner right beneath the grid – I moved them to the side of the grid. I used a sticker of a sandcastle as the large element (which is the number three in the sketch). Another little special detail about this layout is that I added the title digitally – directly onto the photo.

Thanks for taking a peek... And remember to stop by Pretty Little Studio's blog to play along with the challenge!

Spring Has Sprung with Pretty Little Studio

It's time for another Pretty Little Studio layout!
Spring is on it’s way! I am ready for warmer weather which inspired me to make a spring themed layout. I used the lovely Sand Castle Collection by Pretty Little Studio. It’s the perfect collection for spring or summer photos, with it’s gentle tones.
I love layers and dimension on layouts. One of the easier ways for me to obtain both on a page is by adding accordion flowers. I’ve found the little round vintage tags are the perfect center piece for any accordion flower.
Supplies Used: Pretty Little Studio's Sand Castle collection, Pretty Little Studio's vintage circle tags - Baby, Pretty Little Studio's Marble Cake Pattern Paper from the Birthday Cake collection, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Arrows, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Circles, Bella Blvd Love and Marriage Scallop Border, Bella Blvd Banana 12X12 Freestyle Sophisticates Paper, Kraft Commitment 12X12 Yes, Please Amy Tangerine Paper, Studio Calico's Flair Buttons, American Crafts Dear Lizzy Wood buttons

Pretty Little Studio Birthday Party Tag

My first "official" project for Pretty Little Studio is up! I was challenged to use a set of "birthday bright" colors.
This is the little tag I came up with. It's my first altered tag and I just love it! The color scheme consisted of green, pink, and blue stripes in the background. I also noticed just a hint of yellow here, and there. The ‘Birthday Cake’ collection worked perfectly for these colors. I used one of the bingo cards and covered it with strips of fancy paper for the fun patchwork effect.
Products Used: Birthday Cake collection (Pretty Little Studio), American Crafts Glitter Tape, Recollections Bling

Feel free to stop by the Pretty Little Studio blog to get even more inspiration!
