Color Me Scrappy is having a DT call!

 I'm a Designer for...
Color Me Scrappy is having a design team call! You should definitely apply. I've loved working with the ladies of CMS for my term and I am excited to be starting a new term. CMS was my first design team and I wouldn't have it any other way. The owners, Lisa and Pam, are two very wonderful ladies and the challenges are so fun to play along with. It's such a great feeling to have your work shared and to inspire others.

There are changes coming to Color Me Scrappy!

We are going to do weekly challenges! Each challenge will be open for 2 weeks, so that they will overlap and give everyone plenty of time to participate. They will be revealed each Thursday and will look something like this:

Color Challenge + Sketch
Color Challenge + "Word"
Color Challenge + Technique
Color Challenge + Black, White or Kraft BG (This will change each time)
On those odd months were there are 5 Thursday's in a month, the last challenge will be a plain old Color Challenge.

(Pst! I've been assigned as Sketch designer. I'm so excited to be able to share my sketches with everyone and to see what they will create!).

The design team will be divided into two groups and will be responsible for a minimum of two challenges per month. We will alternate when it comes to that 5th challenge. As a DT member, you are also responsible for commenting on participant's LOs and voting for DT Favorite(s).

This term will run from November - February.
If you are interested in being on the Color Me Scrappy Design Team, send an email to colormescrappy@gmail.com and include the following:
  • Name
  • blog address
  • short bio that will be used on our website if chosen
  • any other online gallery that shows your work
  • Why you think you would be an asset to the team?
  • attach a LO using the following color combo and sketch
color dawn

Application deadline is Sunday, September 30, 2012.

The new team members will be contacted no later than October, 4, 2012.

Good luck everyone!

The Studio Challenge - A New Technique

This is my very first blog post as a DT member over at The Studio Challenge. I couldn't be more excited!
The challenge this time is to use a technique you've have never used on a scrapbook page before. The technique I used? I saw someone use a regular die cut punch a few months ago to make a border with extra interest. I decided to give it a go with my postage stamp punch. I love the results!

This is the layout I created. The photos are from Charlotte's first year (month 1-12). All the photos have a bit of journaling underneath them to describe what she was doing in the picture or when the picture was taken. The base paper (the grey at the top) is from S.E.I.. I used border pages from both of Bella Blvd's baby collections (Baby Boy and Baby Girl) . The onsies and elephant are also from those same pages. The title was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo (and finished off with My Little Shoebox alpha stickers). I added some Smash Book washi tape to fill the little gap that was at the top. The orange circle at the top is from My Little Yellow Bicycle.
What's a challenge without a prize? We have some gorgeous Teresa Collins stamps up for grabs!

Come show us what new technique you come up with for a chance to win and be sure to stop by the blog to see what the other amazing DT members came up with!
