The Joy of Die Cutting - Easter 2013 Layout

I love everything about die cutting. Using my Silhouette Cameo to create the perfect little embellishment has become a favorite technique of mine. I just love putting the cuts together - the little critters, words, flowers, etc. It takes me back to a time when I was a child playing with paperdolls.
This layout was particularly fun to create. The fashionable little bunny, the grass, the title, the sun and clouds, the journaling spot, and the scalloped border were all cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I made a collage of photos from Easter Morning (2012) using Pic Monkey. I even printed my journaling directly onto my journaling spot! This is something I will be doing more often. I really love the look.
Adding little details is another favorite of mine. I love the tiny little embellishments that give scrapbook pages their personality. Notice the little navy heart on the cloud, the little arrows beside the journaling, and the enamel dots that anchor the 'love you' sticker.
Supplies Used: American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection, Echo Park So Happy Together 6x6 pad, Echo Park Paradise Beach 6x6 pad, American Crafts Chap 12x12 "Mark" paper, American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Chipboard Embellishments, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Silhouette Cameo

Thanks for reading. Have a lovely week!

  5. That is too cute! I recently got a new blade for my silhouette and it's made a remarkable difference in the cutting! I actually want to get it out now. :) You've inspired me to go cut some titles!
