It's time for Color Me Scrappy's 11th challenge! Are you ready to see what fun colors you've got to work with this month?
The dark blue/deep purple in the color scheme matched perfectly with the colors in the "Nautical" collection by Samantha Walker of Creative Imaginations. The majority of the patterns from this layout are from ONE sheet from that collection - a border sheet! I love border sheets. They are so nifty! The grey photo mat is from Little Yellow Bicycle's "The Escape" collection. I took the Nautical theme and I ran with it using pictures of my family working with seafood. The journaling just tells the story of how my family has worked in the seafood business since I can remember and how it all seems to be slowly coming to an end. I really love the layout of this page. It was really quick and easy to work with - and there is so much room for photos! I think this will be a layout I use often.
That adorable little crab was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo along with the beginning of the title. The rest of the title - "Seafood" - I put together with Bella Blvd's High Five alpha stickers. Check out the detail on the little banner I made! Cute little lobster. :) There is also some doodle bug twine in there and the scallop border was punched out using my Martha Stewart Scallop Dot punch.
I know you want to hear all about the prize, right? If you play along with us - you'll be entered to win a gift certificate from Peace, Love, Scrapbooking. Peace, Love, Scrapbooking is an amazing scrapbook kit club. You'll love the gorgeous kits they have to offer! Check 'em out. ;)
